Regarding the large single wax pot, it can likely hold 500ml-600ml of melted wax. The on-and-off function is due to the thermostat, which ensures the wax is controlled at the desired temperature as much as possible, rather than being heated constantly.

This professional-grade, double chamber electric wax warmer features a durable all-metal heating pot, designed to handle all-day use. Each unit has an industry-standard 4-1/8" diameter that fits most wax containers, including the standard 14-ounce size and others of the same diameter. The pot capacity is 3.52oz/500CC.
